ZTS campus/land
ZTS ever had been a campus 5acres, at Dowin Chaung which was donated by Rev. Dr. Gin Khan Khual. ZTS has 10-year planning project since 2013 and God surprisingly provided us by using the leaders and the members of ZBCA in such a way; had over 20acres of land at Mainuai in July 2016 and again increasingly we had 3.03acres at Saikhua in 2018 which is given the name, "Zomi Education Center," at the same time the land project name is called, "ZEC Project." We built a dormitory in 2019 and in the same year the class building is almost finished in February 2021. Hopefully, we have a plan to attend 2022-2023 Academic year at the place of ZEC.
Graduation
ZTS has begun the commencement of degrees in the 2009-2010 academic years. Now, we are proceeding to have the 13th graduation service.
We also conferred the "Doctor of Divinity" (D.D) to Rev. Dr. Gin Khan Khual (Consultant-ZBCM) on the 8th Graduation service in 2007.
Furthermore, ZTS conferred the degree of Doctor of Divinity to Rev. Pau Khan Khai through Zomi Christian Theological Seminary (ZCTS), which belongs to Zomi Baptist Churches Association (ZBCA), USA as well as ZTS Conferred the Honorary Doctorate Degrees to the Outstanding leaders among the Zomi at the 12th Graduation Service March 27, 2021, in ZBCM Silver Jubilee Hall.
The Quantity of the Graduated Students of ZTS
ZTS began with 17students in 2006 and now the total number of ZTS students is (212), and the number of graduated students is (137). There have been M.Th 2 students and 25 M.Div students out of the graduated students from ZTS. Recently, ZTS trained and developed 8 ministers and they are getting involved in their Church ministry and others are serving in their own mission fields. We have 75 current students in the 2021-2022 academic year as we run the course teaching through Zoom because of the pandemic but most of the subjects are in person. We are processing for the 13th Graduation service in February of 2022.
ZTS Honorary list and Nominated list
As we have mentioned the above, ZTS conferred the "Doctor of Divinity" to Rev. Dr. Gin Khan Khual (Consultant of ZBCM) on the 8th graduation service in 2017. In 2020-2021 academic year, ZTS conferred the honorary degrees to our respected Zomi people during ZBCM Silver Jubilee as the following; namely, (1) Rev. Pau Khan Khai, Doctor of Divinity (D.D), (2) Rev. En Khan Hau, Doctor of Divinity (D.D), (3) Rev. Kham Suan Mung, Doctor of Divinity (D.D) (4) Rev. Tuan Khan Mung, Doctor of Music (D.Mus) (5)Mr. En Za Kap, Doctor of Business (D.Bus) (6) Mr. Dai Lian Pau, Doctor of Business (D.Bus), (7)Mr. Chin Sian Thang, Doctor of Law (LL.D) (8) Prof. Dr. C Thang Za Tuan, Doctor of Literature (D. Litt).
The Future Planning of ZTS
As we have mentioned above, the 10-year planning of ZTS at “Zomi Education Center” which is given name, “Zomi Christian University,” we are also aiming to be the place of studying the word of God and Secular Education (Professional). We would appreciate getting some advice and information from you to have a closer relationship with Colleges and Seminaries inside and outside the country. Our aim is for Zomi Christian University to become A place of Comprehensive University in the near future.
